Who We Are

History

In 1985, while living in a semi-rural town in southern Ontario in the Durham region, our family noticed a change in the quality and taste of the water that came from our well. As a result, we had the water tested and found that it contained several pollutants that had originated at a neighbouring farm. This came as a shock to us. We felt vulnerable because we had always depended on the purity of our water. It was this small but personal experience that prompted our interest in how fertilizers, pesticides, detergents and other harsh chemicals in everyday use can make their way through the ground and into our water in both rural and urban areas.

In 1999, Mountain Stream Resources Inc. was established in Whitby, primarily to help friends and associates accurately identify water problems and assist in locating the proper equipment to treat the conditions. Since our inception, the company has evolved into a consulting firm committed to raising "water awareness".

We must never forget that the water cycle and the life cycle are one.”
(Jacques Cousteau)

Most consumers are unaware of the fact that much of the water pollution that concerns them most, flows directly from the family home. We have had the opportunity to work with many of these homeowners, raising not only their awareness to the water entering the home but the water leaving it as well. In doing so, our customers come to understand that many of the common household cleaners used in most homes today, are laden with all manner of toxic chemicals. When these chemical cleaners are flushed into our wastewater system, they will assuredly, make their way through the water treatment system and back to us in our "clean" water supply to be dealt with all over again.

Our mission is to identify contaminants and eliminate them wherever possible. Where elimination of the offending water contaminant is beyond the property owners’ control, we will recommend an appropriate and effective treatment system.

Mountain Stream Resources Inc. is a consultation firm, as such; we are involved only in water analysis and water treatment recommendations. We do not sell water treatment equipment, therefore, we can be trusted to provide a personal, objective and honest recommendation to deal with whatever water concern you may have.
